Joshua Fichera was born in Maine where he has resided since. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in communications with a focus in audio engineering from the New England School of Communications at Husson University. His music falls into the genres of EDM, Contemporary R&B, hip-hop and pop. He blends the genres to create a unique sound that complements these genres. His music has Kygo-style beats paired with melodic vocals characteristic of The Weeknd or Bazzi. Josh is a hardworking, passionate individual and this is portrayed in his music.
Joshua Fichera creates an arrangement with a lot of ebbs and flows, much like the action of waves lapping on a beach, which is quite beautiful, thanks to the extensive use of reverb and delay. As a result, there is a sense of sumptuous richness throughout.
“I’m addicted to the high that always tears me apart. You’re nothing more than a bad habit that I’ve had from the start…”
“The Habit” sheds new light on the artist, striking a chord with spectators because of its transparency, fragility, vulnerability, and the powerful artistic thread that runs through the work.
Smooth tone, gentle vibrato, attractive octave range, and a consistent flowy soulful RnB instrumental make Joshua “The Habit,” a Contemporary / RnB electropop masterpiece that also offers a diverse production to keep things soulful, vulnerable, and emotional.
As a result of the overall mood shift of The Habit, the audience’s spirits are lifted as a result. It is only a brief moment, but the swagger and empowerment of the lyrical passages are swiftly restored, and we begin to connect with the bold and beautiful undertones that run throughout this song.
The effect of “The Habit” is to draw the listener’s attention to the soft and soulful rhythm and…of course, Joshua’s vocals in the background. Or, more precisely, the intimacy of the lyrics — there’s a wide range of them on display.
“The Habit” is something different coming from Joshua’s corner, fusing together a catchy soundscape with theatrical story-telling origins and a blissfully soulful vocal – the result is something that feels like rhyme and ultimately paves the way for a more creative, sensitive, and immersive RnB realm of tomorrow.
