Inspired by the emerging hip-hop scene in Ireland, Lowkey Lu began rapping in open mics in Waterford, releasing demos online, and collaborating with guitarists. In 2019 Lu released his debut EP produced entirely by Numberik, before relocating to Limerick to study in TUS, drawn by the diverse and competitive music scene of Ireland’s arts capital.
